Wendy Gilbertson is an award-winning educator, children’s author, and advocate for healthy habits in early childhood. With over 20 years of experience as an elementary school teacher and a former lecturer at the UCLA Graduate School of Education, Wendy has spent her career helping children grow academically, emotionally, and nutritionally.
She holds a PhD in Education along with a BA in Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Education, all from UCLA. Passionate about promoting healthy eating through storytelling, Wendy combines her background in child development with her love for cooking, creating joyful stories that encourage kids to make better food choices.
When she’s not writing or developing veggie-filled recipes, Wendy enjoys baking “green” cookies, mentoring new teachers, and spending time with her husband and their French Bulldog, Tucker, in Los Angeles.
